R&L Associates adds Managing
Partner/Co-Head to Nosal Partners
With great pleasure and pride, R&L
Associates has placed Ric Comins with Nosal Partners, a retained
global executive search firm. Mr. Comins will be a Managing
Partner and member of the firm’s Operating Committee. His
executive skills will see him leading the Board Practice and
co-leading the firm’s Retail Practice. Rochelle Schumer, founder
and President of R&L Associates, conducted the search. She
observed that Ric is a deep water leader in the executive search
world and a major figure in world class placements.
Prior to joining Nosal Partners,
Mr. Comins was Managing Director and Retail Practice Leader for
Edward W Kelley & Partners (formerly A.T. Kearney Executive
Search) following the firm’s 2002 acquisition of Ray & Berndtson,
where he served as Partner for more than four years. Before
entering the executive search industry, Mr. Comins was Executive
Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at OfficeMax,
Senior Vice President of Executive and Organization Resources at
Kmart Corporation, and Vice President of Human Resources at
Britches of Georgetown. Mr. Comins began his career at Bamberger’s
(a division of R.H. Macy’s), where he held positions in
merchandising and human resources. He later joined Rich’s
Department Stores (the Atlanta-based division of Federated
Department Stores) as Division Vice President of Human Resources,
and he ultimately became Operating Vice President, Executive and
Organization Development for the parent company.

Mr. Comins holds B.A. in
Government from Harvard College and completed post-graduate
coursework in Management at the New York University Graduate
School of Business Administration
